At Trolley Lane Travel, we believe in transparency with our potential travel advisors and aim to provide a clear idea of what they can expect to invest annually in their travel business. On average, advisors can expect to invest approximately $550 to $1300 each year.  However, this amount can vary depending on individual choices and additional services they may opt for.

We will discuss the exact amounts in more detail during the interview process. Here are some of the items included in our estimate:

    • Training: One-time initial 6-week training course fee.

    • Yearly Independent Contractor Fee: This fee includes Errors and Omissions Insurance (we also recommend purchasing independent E&O Insurance, which varies per individual), a professional Trolley Lane Travel email address, GSuite access to our exclusive Travel Advisor Drive with tools, templates, branding materials, and a shared photo and video content library. It also includes a featured Travel Advisor profile on the Trolley Lane Travel website, with a direct link for clients, and features across Trolley Lane Travel’s social media.

    • CRM Access: Monthly fee for our Customer Relationship Management system, which includes automated emails for clients, payment authorization forms, commission tracking, and more.

    • Additional Items (Not Required but Helpful): Canva Pro account (yearly cost included in the estimate), business cards, social media advertising, referral program, client gifts, thank you cards, and postage.

    • Client Gathering: You are responsible for gathering your clientele through your personal network. We will also work with you and advise you on ways to grow your clientele

    • Lead Generation: Think about where your business will come from and how you will generate leads initially. Once established, your clients will refer you, and your business will grow. During your initial training, we also cover different strategies to generate leads and it is also an ongoing discussion in our agent forum.

    • Agency Leads: Proposal requests that come through the agency website without a preferred advisor selected, are passed on to our agents. However, do not rely on this as your only source of clients, as we spread these leads out among all of the Trolley Lane Travel® advisors

    • Commission-Based: This is a commission-based position. You are paid when the client completes their travel, the supplier has paid the agency and the payment has cleared our account.

    • Commission Split: We split all commissions received from your clients' travels. Commission varies based on each supplier and destination, as well as your sales. Your commission rate can increase the more you sell. We will discuss the commission structure during the interviews.

    • Payment Schedule: Payroll is run weekly, and we use Melio to pay all of our advisors by ACH

    • Initial Training: 6 Week Online course and weekly virtual training calls with the agency owner

    • Ongoing Supplier Training: Participate in training sessions throughout the year to stay updated on industry trends and best practices.

    • Bi-weekly Training: We hold 2 virtual meetings a month for our agents. One is typically supplier-focused and is attended by our Business Development Manager from one of our Travel Partners/Suppliers. The second one is typically focused on topics requested by our advisors.

    • Business Coaching: Receive personalized business coaching from agency owners to help you grow your business.

    • On-Site Educational Events: Attend on-site educational events, including an annual agency conference.

  • Absolutely not. We have not nor will we ever operate as an MLM (Multi-Level Marketing) scheme. Travel MLMs are not respected or welcome in this industry and we will never require you to recruit agents to be under you.
